Aiken, South Carolina is the home base of Southern Exposure, a full service consulting agency, founded in a time when newspaper readership was declining, personal playlists and podcasts were replacing radio listening and broadcast television was being crippled due to streaming services. Digital marketing came in hard with social media, websites and Google. And the Southern Exposure team was ready.

Catherine McManus Bedenbaugh
Principal
Catherine was born and raised in Aiken and has always considered it her home. When she married and moved away it was temporary until she and her husband Stuart had the opportunity to return.
Catherine attended Aiken Day School, St. Angela Academy and Winthrop University. She and her husband have two grown children in Washington,DC and Chapel Hill, NC.
Catherine has been working in marketing since 2003. What started as mail marketing for a small financial group just starting out, has grown to website design, reputation management, email and social media marketing, as well as print marketing and event marketing to name a few. Her skills, interest and genuine relationships with her clients have grown and set her apart.

Catherine believes being involved in the community is vital. She is currently serving her 4th year on the board of the Aiken Symphony Orchestra. She is serving her 5th year as a trustee for The Friends of Hopelands Gardens and Rye Patch, 3 years served on the executive committee. She has participated in the City of Aiken Public Safety Citizens Academy, and has served on the Aiken Memorial Day Parade Committee for 5 years. Southern Exposure Marketing is a proud sponsor of the parade every May.
Pamela McNeely Flasch
Public Information
and Engagement Officer
Pam is the newest member of the Southern Exposure Marketing and Media army and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the group.
​
Pam has adored art and writing since she held her first chubby pencil! Her passion has been her roadmap to a career that includes newspaper advertising and writing, nonprofit management and senior level marketing and public affairs. Pam is a FEMA-certified Advanced Public Information Officer (PIO) and has twenty years of experience in municipal communications and crisis’ communications.
A member of Omicron Delta Kappa and the Society of Professional Journalists, she’s also past president of the SC Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and a former town council member and planning commissioner. She has served on the boards of numerous civic, arts and social justice organizations.
Pam and her husband Mark enjoy traveling, hiking, kayaking and reading. She has been an actor for almost 40 years and savored a sweet gig as a hitchhiking flapper as a step-on tour guide in the Shenandoah National Park.
Jillian Lawrence
Digital Marketing Designer
Jillian Lawrence joined Southern Exposure in May of 2023, bringing a rich resume in retail at major brands including Gap and Williams-Sonoma. Jill is armed with many talents she will be bringing to this role with none more needed in today's climate and culture than her customer satisfaction and people development skills.
Her inherent and trained tools will help her work closely with her clients to create digital content that helps them move the needle in their business goals. She will work closely with her local and regional clients to creating branding and messaging that can create a buzz!
Jillian's attention to detail, impeccable sense of style and creative capacity, paired with her knowledge of current trends in social media make her such an important member of our creative squad!

Jillian and her husband Drew, a talented photographer, live south of Atlanta with their vivacious toddler and precocious pups.

Kimberly McNeely McCue
Principal
Kim started her marketing and advertising career as a copywriter and business writer at a newspaper in Augusta, Georgia. She enjoyed working with small business owners, helping them tell their unique story in print. She rounded out her media experience at two 100,000 watt radio stations in Augusta, GA, then turned her attention to the non profit world, working at at both international and state associations.
Today, she gets to live out both of these passions in her role at Southern Exposure Marketing where she enjoys working with small businesses who want to expand their customer base, increase sales and grow their company. Initial meetings with Kim include a deep dive into the business to help determine client needs and goals allowing her to create a plan for success and growth.

Kim and her husband Patrick live in North Augusta, South Carolina and he serves as an unpaid consultant to Southern Exposure while Kim is a silent supporter of Patrick's love of golf, football, hockey and every other sport under the sun. She has two grown children who live in Georgia who give her tremendous pride!
Scott Webster

Scott Webster started his career as a photographer at The Aiken Standard newspaper in Aiken, SC and enjoys his career as an independent photographer.

As owner of Webster Photography, Scott has a variety of experience with corporate photography, events, bridal and more. As a proud parent of several athletes, Scott is often pulled form the bleachers and cheers his kids on from behind his lens

Scott and his wife Laura are the proud parents of four children. They live in Graniteville.
